A Letter from the Little League in Camden, NJ

Dear John,

I wanted to write to tell you how much we appreciate the work you do.  We are the only little league in this area and have very little in the way of funding.

Many of our players come from low income families and are unable to pay registration dues. Those who do pay, send what they can afford which is normally very little.

You and Project HOTSHOTs have been a true blessing.  We are able to have a complete season without denying anyone, thanks to you. We greatly appreciate the donated equipment and will never forget you.

Sincerely,

Luis Neco
President -
Cramer Hill Little L
eague in C
amden, NJ

NOTE: Mr. Neco mentioned to me that there is a gentleman in their community who takes baseball mitts apart, puts them back together and creates new mitts out of the excess leather. Wow. We doubled our efforts to get the Cramer Hill LL more baseball gloves and the students of Oceanside turned out BIG TIME. - Mr. Neco, 3 boxes of baseball mitts are on their way to you via UPS  as you read this.

Well it took a while, but the Backpacks we sent to Guatemala have arrived and been distributed by the teachers in the picture they sent.

This picture was taken in Pedro Molina in Chimaltenango. Pedro Molina is a former military base that - as a result of the peace accords -  is now a large school complex. Barracks are now used as classrooms for the young people who used to be targets of brutal military repression.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving us the opportunity to learn. Thank you." - Paola, age 11.

Tanzanian Thank You - "Ahsante (ah-sahn'-teh)"

Tanzanian teens play soccer with a ball donated by Project HOTSHOTS.  Sr. Mary Moriarty (age: > 75) writes that the sports equipment we sent last July is being used every day and enjoyed by hundreds of children and teens. Sr. Mary- you've spent your entire life taking care of others...now it's time to take care of yourself.

Contact us if you're interested in supplying a team with new uniforms. Plans are being made for Project HOTSHOTS to sponsor teams in Tanzania, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Dominican Republic, Honduras and of course, here in the U.S.A.
